Intended for the Texan Hill County just west of Austin, this ranch house concept draws inspiration from the International Style, with white-washed stucco walls contrasting against black steel windows.  Comprised of three simple masses, visual interest is added through the exposed timber porches, a formal garden, and tree grove.  The combined effect creates a very casual yet sophisticated mood.

The relationship between the exterior gardens, tree groves, and porches are key elements in the design of the house.  Combined, they have a sum effect of creating welcoming spaces outside of the walls of the house, which can be used year-round.  With four porches on all sides of the house, each one can be utilized at different hours of the day.
