Wanting a fresh feel for their newly purchased contemporary home., the clients asked for a wine cellar, a media room that could be closed off, and a food and beverage bar. Through much discussion, it was decided to reuse the unused storage closet under the existing stairway for the wine cellar. This created an unusual and unexpected wine hub adjacent to the Kitchen. With the addition of a new fireplace and shelving, the once cold-feeling media room was transformed into a cozy lounge for movie viewing. The finished house now has all the modern amenities for effortless entertaining and easy living. Designed in collaboration with David Shiflet.
