WESTLAKE

This carefully planned renovation and addition to an early 1980s home in Westlake, TX reimagines the living experience by flooding the interiors with natural light and thoughtfully opening the rear facade to frame the tranquil oak-studded landscape. The design prioritizes a seamless indoor-outdoor connection, inviting the beauty of the natural surroundings into everyday life.
At the heart of the transformation is a sleek, custom grid of steel and glass windows, complemented by pivot doors that effortlessly blend the interior living areas with an expansive outdoor space featuring a pool and lounge areas. This feature not only enhances the visual appeal but also creates a dynamic backdrop that changes with the light and seasons, bringing life and energy to the home.
Throughout the project, a curated palette of materials was chosen to add warmth, texture, and depth—each surface and detail thoughtfully selected to enrich the sensory experience. The blend of modern elements with natural surroundings strikes a perfect balance, creating an elegant yet inviting atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and deeply connected to the landscape.
The result is a home that celebrates openness, light, and harmony, designed to support relaxed living and memorable gatherings, all while honoring the charm and character of its original roots.
